Previously I was running Windows 8.1 64bit with 2 gpus, an NVidia GTX 650 Ti and an NVidia GTS 450. I have 2 monitors, each plugged into it's own gpu.
This worked well. Yesterday I installed Windows 10 and now I have a Code 43 for the GTS 450 and a black screen. This GPU is not being recognised in the NVidia Control Panel.
I have installed the latest drivers from the NVidia website, version 353.62 (for Windows 10 64bit), this did not work. I then uninstalled them and let Windows Update find the correct drivers, this also did not work. If I uninstall the GPU in device manager, the screen connected to the GTS 450 then comes on. But when Windows then reinstalls the driver, the screen goes back off again and the code 43 re-appears.
Not sure what else there is to do to fix this, has anybody else had this problem since upgrading to Windows 10? Hi James, Thank you for posting the query in Microsoft community! We would be happy to help! Arul_D, I tried method 1, this did find that the device has error code 43 but didn't resolve the issue. I tried method 2, (compatibility mode for Windows 7 ) but the installer doesn't complete the installation due to the following message: NVIDIA INSTALLER CANNOT CONTINUE This NVidia graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows. This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware.
I can confirm that the installer is for Windows 10 and does complete the installation when not running in compatibility mode (i.e. Just double-clicking to run the program). Im having similar problem. I have an EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 graphics card.
I upgraded to Windows 10 and went from two monitors run by my graphics card, to one monitor with default CPU graphics, and error code 43. I tried installing new updated drivers from Nvidia, which never helps, had to reinstall original drivers from CD that came with graphics card. I have had updates available from Nvidia that were supposedly for Windows 10 that I was hopeful might work with same error 43 result. Matter of fact, windows 10 just wants to hose up and give me error 43 for ay windows update, so I have to continue to install the original drivers over again.
Other than that, windows 10 has been great, but sure wish some one could help put this problem to bed once and for all!!!!! Previously I was running Windows 8.1 64bit with 2 gpus, an NVidia GTX 650 Ti and an NVidia GTS 450. I have 2 monitors, each plugged into it's own gpu.
